Question When to feed baby

Hi my lo is just starting to be weaned and we were wondering whens the best time to feed her. I think its best to be done during the afternoon but the OH thinks feeding in the evening will be better (due to having something heavier in the stomach = less night time feeds!).

Any advice anyone has will be great. x

If you are just starting off then it is best to start with something early in the day - breakfast or lunch, The reason being that if the food disagrees with your LO it will be during the day and you won't be up half the night with an unhappy baby.

The other thing to remember is that weaning is not a substitution for milk. You don't cut out any bf/bottles unless your baby does that herself. Milk remains her most important source of nutrition till she is one so you just add in solids around her normal feeding schedule and follow her lead when it comes to dropping milk feeds in the future.

Also can I suggest you change your username/display name to something more general as it is not recommended that you use an email address as your username.
