Dry fruit ???

Hi

I was just wandering, can I give dry fruit like Rasin to baby who has no teeth yet ???

Yes you can. Babies can eat pretty much anything regardless of whether they have teeth or not. Their gums are quite strong. I let my son have raisins once he was able to pick them up and put them in his mouth himself, i.e. as finger food. At that stage I let him have other dried fruit too which I usually chopped up. Some dried fruits are highly sugared so it is best to check if they have sugar added before using them. You can also cook with them from an early age.

We used rasins to help develop those fine motor skills too. Not all the raisins went in his mouth, but some do. Kept him entertained in his high chair too whilst his dinner went down.
