Has anyone ever given marrow?

Hi,

I would like to give my little boy marrow. He is on 1st weaning and I have been given a marrow by a neighbour. (a nice untreated home grown one:-))

I reckon that as it is from the same family as courgette it should be OK?

Has anyone else tried it?

Some marrows are just overgorwn courgettes, same veg just much bigger. There is absolutely no problem with using them, although you may want to remove the skin first before you use it as it can be very tough.

Used it with DS but from memory was it was v watery and mixed it with sweet potato

It's just a big courgette isn't it? I haven't given it on it's own as i don't think I would like to eat it alone but I see now harm at all in doing so. x
