Default Weaning stage: Timings

Hi all,

Really sorry if this has been done a million times before but I'm new today to the site.

I've just started weaning our 6 month old and am in week 2. I'm using Annabel's meal planners but had questions which, frankly, have left me confuddled!

- What timings did/do you use for each meal and bottle throughout the day? We're currently go through about mid feed to then eat a few spoonfuls before resuming the milk feed but know we can't go on like that if we're expecting him to see this as his main source of food rather than the milk
- Do you wake your baby to feed/drink?
- Is constipation an issue, e.g. is this seen as food intolerance even if baby likes it?

Thanks so much in advance!!
xx

Just stick to your normal bottle routine and offer food in and around that. So maybe if you have a bottle around 8 then try breakfast half an hour after that. Similar for lunch etc. Milk is the most important food till your LO is 1, at this stage food is much less important so don't mess with your bottle routine just work around it. Personally I never woke my LO for feeds (milk or food).

If you go on the Hipp website they have a weaning guide that's really helpful I'll see if I can find a link to it....

That's the sort of advice I was hoping for! thank you so much; it's really confusing, weaning, and you really don't want to do it wrong!
