Default getting confused!

hi im new to this site and would really appreciate some advice.
my little girl eva is 6 months old and has been having solids for aprox 4 weeks now. she has porridge for her breakfast made with formula milk then a bottle, a bottle for dinner with maybe a little organix biscuit, some pureed fruit or veg for tea mixed with her milk then a bottle, then a bottle which she wakes for about 10! i need to try seperate her bottle feeds from her food and introduce lunch and was wondering how everyone else plans out meal/bottle times?

Hi,

I never separated my daughter's milk and solid feeds, just offered milk first and then either breakfast lunch or dinner. she did have other milk feeds in between without solids too and then gradually dropped some milk feeds as she got older.

You could switch the feed when she's just having an organix biscuit to a lunch type meal instead of a snack if you want to introduce lunch.

I know what you mean!

It's best to just go with the flow and follow your babie's lead, she'll let you know soon enough when she's full or not had enough. Milk's still the most important at that stage anyway

Hi,

I am new to this site also and new to parenthood. Jacob is now 24 weeks old. I have started weaning, giving some porridge in the morning. Jacob normally wakes up around 730/8. I give him his bottle then about an hour later I give porridge. Should I give porridge straight after his milk?

I think I am confusing myself.

What you're doing sounds fine. Is long as your LO and yourself are happy with what you are doing then you are doing great. As éinínsmom said just go with the flow and follow your baby's lead.

hi Lisa
i think waiting a little after Jacob bottle is a good idea it means he will probably eat a little more maybe? I am trying to spread Eva's feeds out away from her bottles but i think thats just me confusing myself even more lol! I am trying to not worry about it and keep Eva happy! X
