Default Food storage when out & about

When you are heading out for the day & bringing your little ones lunch...how do store it?
In the changing bag, special cooler bag?
How long can it be out of the fridge for?
would you give them the food without warming it up if not near somewhere to do it???

started solids this week & the books dont have this level of detail
thanks

I had a little thermal bag when Evan was little. This is the one. Philips Avent Thermabag - Boots If there wasnt anywhere to warm it up I gave Evan his food cold, he prefered it cold anyway if I remember rightly.

we have a tommee tippee hot water flask which comes with a container to pour the hot water into so can stand pot/pouch of food to warm.

we also have a thermos - heat up food, put in flask and will keep warm for a few hours. they're not cheap the kiddie ones but need to look around.

or if don't mind cold use a cool bag.

hope helps

I usu used cool bag and then heated it up in hot water from flask if going to be out all day. If going out a few hours, say at 11am and wanted to feed at 12ish, I used food flask.

I tended to bring stuff that didn't need warming up if I was out and about as I found that the most flexible. Had the Avent bag as well and used it if stuff needed to be keep cool. We still do the same thing now, and still use the same bag (fab in the current v. hot weather we're having).
