Ginger buscuits helped me a bit, I didn't get sick just felt quite queasy (sp) a lot. I read somewhere that you can get them in a tablet form and they are appanrently designed for pregnant women, not sure where you could get them from though.
Big hugs feeling sick is awful. |

They say eating before u get out of bed like a cracker or something but it didnt work for me.
As teilosmummy said Ginger biscuit work for a lot of people. I felt constantly grazing helped me. Keeping meals small and regular. RIbena and lucozade were good but full of sugar. If lemonade is helping u can get sugar free real lemonade i think or no i am thinking of 'cloudy' lemonade. Like u say your glad for it but it makes u feel lousy. Big hugs xx |

hey babe sorry no advice for the sickness! I was sick up until 16 weeks and found that nothing helped! I tried ginger, travel sickness bands, dried crackers etc etc I just learnt to cope with it!
However will give you a bit of advice re the lemonade and teeth! LOL If you find it is helping to settle you and you are drinking lots yes it will effect your teeth both through decay and erosion. If poss drink it chilled and through a straw, by doing this it is less erosive and the fluid is directed via the straw to the back of the mouth, therefore not 'hitting' as many teeth. If you are being sick you are going to be coating the teeth in acid as well and again this will cause damage, but not a lot you can do about it!!! DONT brush your teeth straight after being sick or drinking the lemonade, as you will be brushing already weakend enamel, causing further damage. Best to prob just rinse out with water. Ensure you are using a toothpaste with fluoride in it and best to go see your dentist so that they can keep an eye on it. Hope this helps in someway and the only thing really is just to go with it! hard I know but it will pass xxxxxx Oh and try if you can to keep all sugar containing foods and drinks to meals, if not be even more careful about your oral hygiene. Hiya Ellie
Try this: ~ Before you raise your head in the morning, have hubby bring up a slice of toast and cup of tea. If that's too much for him some mornings, a glass of OJ and a couple of tea biscuits does the trick. ~ Slice up some raw ginger really thin. Make 'tea' with it iykwim. A mug of hot ginger water. Tastes like crap but it should help. Make it up and sip slowly, alongside something more palatable. hth xxx |

Am LMAO at the thought of Mr H bringing me tea & toast at 6am. He's lucky if he gets a kiss goodbye at that hour, if I'd had tea & toast he might get something extra IYKWIM........nasty! Not looking forward to getting up for work at 6:45am tomorrow and getting Ethan to his Nana's by 8am. Mr H is placing bets on how many weeks I last before I throw a sickie. Git. xxxxxxxxxxx |
