If you are not sure I would say you don't really want to know.It has flown by can't believe you are almost 20 weeks already(easyfor me to say). I didn't have the option on the girls and really wanted to know, couldn't believe my luck on the boys when I found I they could tell me, I loved knowing what I was having, just 1 name to choose and time to get used to it.
I wasn't bothered what sex they were just really wanted to know, hubby didn't want to but was happy to know as I wanted it so much.

do it do it find out i wanna know LOL
what does OH think? we were gonna find out anyway but i could see my lil man's winky clear as day on the screen!
i've always wanted to know, makes it easier buying things and planning things and for friends and relis to buy things and stuff BUT i strongly believe we know what we're having anyway, i knew with mia that she was a girl before we had our 20wk scan and i had strong feeling with this one he was a boy, so what are your instincts telling you???
AND if you find out might make it easier for Finlay to understand that he's having a brother or sister coz with kids it's black & white isn't it and you can get him used to the idea and get him involved in picking things out for bubba & you could find out and just keep it between you & OH so it's still a suprise for everyone else
i'm rambling!!......

I say don't find out. Everything is too "planned" these days, I think it's much lovelier to have the surprise and the whole "it's a ?????" after the birth, more special IMO, keep it a surprise for all of you

Don't do it!
I loved listening to OH ring round after Isabella was born and him announcing "it's a girl!" and telling people the name we'd chosen.
Isabella's Godparents found out they were having a boy and told everyone after the 2nd scan the name so when we got a text to say she'd given birth it was like "oh right" rather than OMG it's a boy, they've called him xxx etc.
I appreciate finding out the sex makes it easier to buy in advance but you have the rest of their life to buy them stuff in the appropriate colours xx

when we had our 20wk scan with this bubs the bloke asked if we both wanted to know so maybe your OH can find out and you not know & just ask him to not tell anyone as you want it to be a suprise then if curiosity gets the better of you at least you can still find out?

Have heard that some hospitals have a policy of not telling the expectant parents what the sex is incase they get it wrong.
When we went for our 20 week scan, we werent even asked if we wanted to know (which we didnt) - think their policy was they would tell you if you really wanted to know.
I too think its a nice surprise and as previously said, so many things are planned these days, i loved not knowing and the midwife telling me congratulations you have a son. It is a personal thing though.

The hospital I had Finlay at won't tell you either because of mothers then terminating the pregnancies because it was the wrong sex for their religion (this is just something I will never understand, to kill a life for this reason is just wrong wrong wrong ) so now there are even signs up everywhere to say please don't ask because we won't tell you. Am glad, I don't think there should even be the option to know, I really do feel it just spoils the whole excitement of birth. But that's just my opinion xx
