Just wondering how soon you told everyone you were pregnant?. 3 months ( am thinking of the first scan) sounds such a long time, especially if you are not good at keping secrets

Got something to tell us???

We didn't tell anyone until 12 weeks (or maybe even later) but we didn't know ourselves until 8 weeks and it took us a while to get over the shock.

First time round we only told our parents (in-laws then went on to tell half of the rest of their family but that's another story) before 3 months.

This time we didn't tell family (in-laws were on holiday) but a few of my friends knew. It was a shock to us that it had happened so quickly so like Sephie's mum, we needed some time to get used to the idea ourselves. We then told people after the 12 week scan.

I guess that my feeling was that I was happy to tell people who I would be likely to turn to for support if things didn't go to plan without telling lots and lots of people.

We told my parents at 8 weeks, in-laws at 12 weeks and everyone else at 15 weeks.

I was really paranoid about things going wrong and took a while to sink in so that felt right for us.

We told everyone at around 7-8weeks the first time i was just sooooo excited and plus i was already showing and i needed maternity tops for work fast
The 2nd time i think i was 10 weeks

We told my BIL at about 6-7 weeks when we found out ourselves as he was going on his round the world trip (still away, hasn't met Megan yet) and we wanted to tell him ourselves and not through an e-mail or someone else. Everyone else found out between 10-12 weeks. xxxxxx

Last time I was pregnant, I HAD to tell my sister at about 6/7 weeks ( was a bit traumatised as had just moved to Singapore). She has always said that it was the longest pregnancy EVER!!! he he, and I have not to tell her so soon next time. Being such an open person though, I would rather tell close relatives/ very close friends early, as if anything went wrong I would equally need their support.

i was about 7 weeks gone when i found out and i couldn't not tell people. i told my mum and mil straight away. i even nought pram straight after 12 week scan (which i didn't have until i was 15 weeks) i would prob do things diff next time but i did my reasons and buying stuff took my mind off things x

I told my parents and MIL about 6/7 weeks but didn't tell anyone else until my first scan was too worried. xxx

We told everyone when I was pregnant with Ollie! It was just too exciting!

This time we told only immediate family and you guys until the 12 week scan.
