Question Baby Swings- worth buying or not?

Hi Ladies,

I am after your opinions. I never bought a baby swing the first time around, however I am thinking of getting one for the latest addition!!!

Has anyone got one and if so, was it worth buying, do you use it?

Any advice??!!!

Thanks

Lisaxx

Hi Lisa,

Do you mean the battery operated one that automatically swings the seat when you switch it on?

I had one (it was a gift) and used it lots - great for getting the baby off to sleep

hthxx

Icouldnt have lived without ours! Seriously! Some days the 10 mins they were happy to be in it were the only 10 mins i could put them down! Cant recomeneded enough, not all babies like them but if you have a colicky baby then it could be a God send! Look in your local paper for a second hand one if your not sure about buying one as you wouldnt have wasted lots of money (or better stuill borrow one like we did both times)

definately worth buying! We didnt buy one for Ruby but had one bought for us by Granny for Poppy and its fab. Its great for settling her off to sleep or just popping her in there for a play. I'd highly recommend them.

We have this one

Buy one buy one! Especially for a second kid cause you are going to need the extra set of "hands". I had the fischer price one from my first kid (almost 18 years ago). With Noa we couldn't find the strap and never used it cause we never found a strap for it and boy was I sorry! I would definately had bought another one if I could go back to when Noa was born. My other kids loved it and with each new kid, needed it more and more cause needed to be able to tend to the other and not have the baby scream!

The new fisher price ones are highly recommended by my sisters!

I bought ours second-hand, and I am so glad that I did! My son hated it. We never used it. In fact, I am hopefully selling it tomorrow at a second-hand sale. Get one, but get a used one if you possibly can OR take your newborn to someone's house who has one to make sure s/he likes it before you buy a new one. But the woman we bought ours from couldn't have done without it, her son loved it. Go figure... It was the fisher price take along aquarium swing, for what it's worth.
