Default Hospital Bag - What you took with you..

There was a thread for this before and I thought it was very helpful to mums to be.

Here is my list; ( I had a C section so maybe other mum's can advise on labour things you might find useful?
  • Big Giant pants. H&M do incredibly comfy ones, the best for C Section scars.
  • Big Giant "Lady Pads" Don't even think the Big Always Ultra Long Ones, think big thick Nappy types!
  • Lovely thick slipper socks, for cold hospital floors.
  • Nighties rather than PJ's especially if you had a C section, you won't want anything tying around your scar.
  • Breast pads
  • Dressing gown
  • Maternity Bras
  • Nice toiletries. (I think it just makes staying in hospital nicer if you smell nice.
  • Books, mags, (you never know)

I'm sure there is lots I've forgotten.

I was totally unprepared, I packed my bag whilst my contractions were every 5 minutes apart but she was early and it was unexpected.

Anyhow pretty much the same as everyone else,

Comfy, cotton nightie
Bobble for hair
Baby wipes to take makeup off
Towels for after bath
Disposable pants and lots of thick maternity pads
Breast pads
Change for hospital phone
Water
Camera
Antibac handgel
Thick socks
Snacks (for hubby and a few for me)

oh and I'm sure there is more but I can't think right now

Also:
Flip flops are useful when in the shower as not always clean.
Something nice to suck as mouth can get dry and horrible.
Water and juice.
