Default why do i feel so rubbish???

Sorry to moan but i just need to get it off my chest and i dont know who else to talk too!!!!!!

I am so happy to be pregnant and at only 11 weeks it feels so far away until i can meet our baby. Got a scan on 23rd Jan which i cant wait for!!!!!

BUt i feel so depressed and emotional, its worrying me that i am not giving Oliver the care and attention that he needs and craves. I try my hardest to be my usual happy self with him but i am just feeling so down its hard!!!

I am very lucky that we live on a farm with MIL and FIL next door and as long as they are not busy they are more than happy to look after Oli......but i feel like i am abandoning him.

This afternoon when he woke from his sleep Oli just would not stop screaming and screaming and its made me feel really low and i am so worried about regressing to my PND days......i dont want it to happen for the new baby or Olis sake.

Oh why oh why do i have to feel like this......dont think its helping that i feel so sick and tired ALL the time....is anyone else feeling like this?????

Thanks for just being here to talk to all of you!!!!! x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x x

Don't feel bad about moaning on here.

Sorry you are feeling so low. I know it isn't much help but I found the first 16 weeks of my pregnancy the hardest in every way (emotionally, tiring, feeling sick) after that I never felt as bad again, even right at the end.

So fingers crossed you turn the corner soon and feel better.

Big hugs.

xxxxx

aah huney i am sorry you are feeling low. Being depressed in pregnancy is even more common that post birth apparently. And no wonder, you are growing another person, you are tired and feeling sick. Are you taking any pregnancy vitamins? Cuz you might be running low on say Iron. And dont feel guilty about you in laws having Oliver, they obviously enjoy it, and so does he, so whats the problem? You need to rest more so make the most of it. If you feel it is more than that then definitely go to the doctor this week. Hope things look up huney, beth xxxx

aaah babes, big hugs. I find that i always feel the worst in the first and last trimesters. At the mo being in the third trimester I am finding it hard coping with a toddler (especially during the night as she still doesnt sleep properly!!). I've been panicking and questioning my ability to cope once lo arrives but i guess I will cross that bridge whwen i come to it - thankfully I have a large support network to keep an eye on me.

I'm sure when this period passes and you start to feel physically better you will feel more positive about things. If not, make sure you speak to us as but more importantly someone in your support network or HV/midwife.

Take care hun and im sure things will improve.

T x

Did you stop taking the antidepressants? Chefck with your doc cause there are ones you can take preggers and if you feel this low already, you may find it harder to cope down the road. No harm in asking-definately talk to the doc as well as hv!

big hugs!

Hey big hugs hun!
You have so many hormones running round your body at the moment that it is no surprise you are feeling down! along with the sickness and tirdness it is not easy esp when looking after your lo as well.

Dont be afraid to speak to your midwife about this at your appointment. Mine always checked how I was feeling, she told me that they are starting to recognise that mummuies can suffer from pre natal depression, and are starting to treat it, in the past the focus was always on the post but if you are feeling low speak to them they will be able to help.

Hope you feel better soon and make use of all the help you can get and dont feel guilty!
