I used olive oil. I had no stiches or tears but Georgia was tiny. My hubbys family swear by using olive oil from about 30 weeks twice a day and they have all had none or small tears. xx

This post has made me chuckle. It has been all hubby has been on about for weeks...eager to get involved, lol!

I tore last time as Ruby arrived giving a high five (hand by the side of her head) and MW said if she hadn't have been doing that I would have been fine. Not sure i'll take hubby up on his offers of help though....

My first four were each larger than the previous ones and earlier. Noa was 2 weeks early and the smallest of them all.

With the 3rd and 5th I had no tears or stitches. With my third I had an ethiopian midwife who kept doing the massage thing and putting warm compresses on throughout the labor. It really helped as daughter was 4 kilo and 60 grams-but no stitches.

with Noa-every other sentence out of my mouth during labor was i want no stitches and no tears. She must have thought I was mad-but achieved my goal!
