Default How pregnant were you when you got a positive test?

Just wondered as I'm starting to think I'm more pregnant than I have worked out but doubting it as I was taking tests for about 3 weeks before I got a positive. Its just that I swear I can sometimes feel little movements and my belly's really big and I'm only 9 weeks according to my dates. Also I did a test when I was pregnant with Imogen at 5 weeks which was negative, then another at 8 weeks which was then positive. Plus the dates I'm working from arent really reliable as I only had a very slight bleed for a day or so not a proper period. Rambling now but wondering if some people just don't get positives till quite late on?

With Harley the home tests didn't come back positive at all! I had a feeling I was preg and so I kept trying them but nothing, always negative. So I went to doc's and she did a few tests and that's how I found out. So you could be more pregnant than you've worked out from the tests HTH

Well with George it was about 5 weeks. With Imo i did several tests that were negative but i just knew. Then one night my pregnancy induced SPD returned with a vengeance and i knew no matter what the test said that i was pregnant. 3 tests later confirmed it. All depends on time, how much you have drunk ect. Your scan will be able to tell you for certain!! Wouldn't it be good to be a few weeks further on!! beth xxxx

I was about 6 and a half weeks when I found out but didnt even realise up until then, as I was bleeding and thought I was having a light period. Felt abit bloated as had had a heavy meal the night before, friend at work said I could be preggers but I said... nooooooooooo dont be silly. Well it put the seed of doubt in my mind then that afternoon did a test and I was I nearly fainted with shock and did 3 more to check.

My mum was the same. She was 5 months gone, and was still having periods and couldn't understand why she wasn't getting preggers. She stopped bleeding at about 6 months. Also my auntie didn't know she was carrying twins and had a miscarriage, thinking it was only one baby it was a few months before they relised she was still carrying a baby, and he was born fine and healthy. strange!! It always freaks me out it runs in the family (infact i did go to the doctors when George was about a year as i swear i felt what felt just like a baby kicking (definatly not wind!) and was panicking that i was far gone into a pregancy, turns out the GP said it was just my tummy muscles contracting back in place (well sadly that never happened LOL) but i had it again when Imo was aorund 9 months and knew what it was. Any one else had this, or am i freak? beth xxxx

I was 7 weeks. It was the first test I'd done.
