Question Low Blood Pressure?

Does anyone know much about blood pressure during pregnancy? I had a check-up this morning and I think the nurse said my blood pressure was low but didn't say if this is bad or what I should do to get it back to normal. Maybe only high blood pressure is bad? Today it was 100/60, last time 100/70, the time before 110/60 and the time before that 120/80. It was always normal during my last pregnancy.

Do I need to be worried about this? I'm just wondering whether it could cause tiredness & dizzyness? A few times in the past weeks I've had to sit down because of feeling sick and as if I'm going to pass out. I just thought I was doing too much & not getting enough sleep and I'm usually fine when I do get enough sleep. I saw my doc after the nurse took my blood pressure & he didn't mention it so maybe it's nothing serious? Everything else is fine btw! xo

I had very low blood pressure during my last pregnancy.
You will feel tired, weak and possibly dizzy/faint with it.
Nowt can be done. It'll come up again.
If you feel faint/dizzy obviously sit down and rest.
The joys of pregnancy! D

I would not consider those blood pressures abnormal in pregnant women. So no-nothing to worry about!

Did they check you laying down as well as stnding up after laying down? Sometimes there can be a difference which can cause dizziness when getting up and such.

Also, have they tested your iron levels and B12 levels?

Thanks for your replies! Really glad there's nothing to worry about! Just wish I could sit down & rest every time I feel like it but with Logie around there's not much chance! At the moment his favourite thing is to chase me around the room crawling - me crawling too! Am so glad when hubby gets home! Good thing with being on the floor all the time though - baby is head down!
Susie - they just checked it when I was sitting down and haven't checked iron or B12 levels. I am taking Sanatogen Pro Natal and Omega 3 so thought I would be getting enough from this. Haven't been eating much red meat at the moment though so maybe excuse for hubby to cook me a big steak! xo

I suffered with low blood pressure whilst having Hollie,it does course dizzy spells, feeling sick, and you think your going to faint! not very nice at all! Try and take it easy hun and keep an eye on it. A nice choccy biccy or 3 with a nice cuppa and put your feet up! -hard with another LO running around, get your hubby to bath him and put him to bed so you can rest.
BIG HUGS!!
