Hey, has anyone got any suggestions for helping with sickness? I feel sick from about 3/4 am till about midday. I've tried dry toast, ginger, bread sticks, biscuits and they dont work. Fat coke seems to relieve the sickness but feels horrible on my teeth and I seem to suffer badly with my teeth when pregnant and really want to try something else. I never had sickness with Georgia.
Thanks xxx |

Hi,
With both my pregnancies I suffered badly with nausea/sickness, never actually being sick but feeling it from waking 'til I went to bed! This time around it didn't pass until I was 18 weeks, they say if you have bad sickness in the 1st trimester you will usually get it back again towards the end of your pregnancy, which I did last time but already this time I'm feeling sick again and I'm only 25 weeks!!!!! I've tried everything you can imagine both times, from different foods to motion sickness bands but nothing has worked so far. The only bit of advice I can give is to eat little and often (I found that it didn't matter what I ate as long as I didn't let myself get too hungry) and make sure you get plenty of rest (if possible) as I found that nothing made me feel sicker than when I was tired. Just reading back I'm so sorry I'm full of doom & gloom!!!! Unfortunately that's how it's been for me but hopefully you'll feel much better soon and I'm sure other ladies will post some helpful tips for you. Good luck xxxxx |

Hi Cole, I had terible morning sickness, all day long for good few wks of my early pregnancies. I felt sick and vomited some times up to 4 times a day!
Tried everything! wristbands, ginger, etc. used to chew crystallised ginger, got in in health food shop and it possibly relieved it a bit. On second pregnancy very sick again. so in spite of my hatred of needles, decided to go for acupuncture (was desperate). was losing loads of weight! Went to 5 sessions of acupuncture and it did relieve it a bit. I remember telling doctor about it and he said there was a drug in Canada used to relieve m/s. wasn't licensed in Ireland but don't know would i have got it anyway. might be available in uk. Hope it gets better soon, only positive is its supposed to be a good sign and i have 2 lovely LO's now! D ![]() |
