Hi,
I started to drink it when they started to talk about inducing me, didn't want to go through that! My waters broke on the Friday before I was due in on the Sunday to be induced.
I then had a very quick first stage of labour, dilating very quickly but then everything stopped.

So, not sure if it helped or not.....maybe.

I drank it when expecting Evie and hated it. Had a couple a day from 34 weeks. I was 2 weeks late with her but I had her in less than 4 hours start to finish so maybe it does help to reduce the pushing stage. (Only pushed about 4 times and she popped out)

I had it when I was pregnant with Jackie, I don't think it helped much, but I liked the taste! Jackie was the day before his due date, but the labour was nearly 14 hours, my longest yet!

That's funny, I was just thinking about this! I started taking it last time from 34 weeks but when I told my midwife she said to stop taking it straight away as it was too early & I should wait til at least 38 weeks as it can bring on premature labour! I had to be induced in the end - 10 days overdue so maybe if I'd carried on taking it things might have been different! I am definitely considering taking it again this time as I got used to the taste and quite liked it & would be keen to cut down on my caffeine intake! I have a check up at the docs tomorrow morning so will see what he thinks and let you know! xo

I asked my doc at my last check up & he said I should start taking it from 35 weeks. I was surprised he's even heard of it as I thought docs weren't into herbal remedies! He also recommended I take eisenkrautertee - verbena tea from 38 weeks as it can start contractions off! I'll definitely be doing this no matter how bad it tastes as I don't want another induction! xo
