Does anyone know if it is dangerous to be exposed to this during pregnancy? A few kids at the boys' kindergarten have it & a teacher told me I should see my doctor as it is dangerous during pregnancy. But after looking online I can't see any evidence that it is dangerous

I don't think its a particular concern - it went round my lo's nursery last winter and we had lots of discussion about it but couldn't find any evidence to suggest a problem in pregnancy...

Maybe they have it confused with fifths disease/slapped check? that can be dangerous in pregnancy??

I have never known scalett fever to be dangerous in pregnancy, its caused by strep baciteria and normally treated with anti bs if needed x
