How do you cope with very mobile toddler ?

If we walked park etc mine would walk no buggy taken so a hand for each.
trip to shop or busy place she would be strapped in buggy regardless of if she wanted to.

She sounds very wilful

strap her in the buggy regardless to whether she wants to or not & let her throw a tantrum you're boss not her and when you can let her walk put reins on her so she can't run off x

Ditto what the others have said, strap her in the pushchair weather she wants to or not & have reins on for when she is walking so you can keep her in safe distance.
If I've got the pushchair with me & Sebastian(2) is walking he holds my hand & Oliver(4.5) holds the other side of the pushchair so I know where he is.

Just echoing everyone else! Pushchair whether she likes it or not, and try reins for shorter walks x

My youngest daughter used to hate the buggy, being held etc tough love definitely helped and she is fine now, keep persevering x

Defo agree with everyone else. She *has* to go in buggy when you need her to and reins the rest of the time.

she sounds a lot like my fraser some days i have to physically pin him down with my knee to get him strapped in his buggy

reins are great to

will she hold her brother's hand? as fraser will happily hold his brothers hand instead off mine i just keep hold off the reins

I agree

I think they have to be around the age of 2 to fully understand things like they have to walk along their parents and not in opposite direction or that they need to hold mummys hand etc.......

My older started walking really late by the time he started walking he was already big enough to know that he needs to hold my hand and walk along side me etc.....It was so easy with him I dont actually remember having any similar issues at all , I though all kids are like him thats the problem , just didnt know some can be really problematic lol
