Unhappy why can't i get a straight answer

I've been put under consultant care with this pregnancy because of the size fraser was and my mum has type 2 diabetes
i wasn't to bothered to start as consultant said as long as my glucose tolerance test come back fine i would be discharged and would be able to have a home birth!
see a different consultant today GT test was fine but he doesn't what to discharged me and wouldn't say if i can have a home birth

on a plus side he want me to have growth scan at 32 and 36 weeks so well get to see baby

anyone else still had a home birth under consultant care?

I'm under consultant care and I always get different answers for everything. Maybe they just want to check babys size before giving the ok for home birth. I have no idea about home birth as I dont think I would be allowed one - never bothered asking

Huge hugs hun......it is frustrating when consultants can't agree, I had trouble with my consultant when I was pregnant with Meg as they were giving me growth scans and they kept telling me the bad things then I would have the scan and all was fine.
On the plus side I had a fantastic consultant with Leah and she was present at all my scans and her team were very nice too especially when I had my last scan at 38 weeks and decided I was too be induced due to concerns with water level and the cord blood flow.
Hope you get a straight answer hun and the rest of the pregnancy goes smoothly for you xx

I am assuming they still think that diabetes is a possibilty at some point in the pregnancy. (Type 2 diabetes is hereditary and often first shows up in pregnancy.)
