Default C section question?

To you lovely ladies who have had a c section and then had another baby was you given the choice of natural or section next time round? My midwife has told me I will almost definatly have to have another c section. I was a bit upset about this. I thought it would atleast be open for discussion. Though I'd like to see them plan when to my c section with my background

Well as you prob know Aubs was an. Emergency C-sec, I was booked in for one with Wills but ended up having her early and a natural birth .

I was given the choice and chose the c-sec as it was a bit of an ordeal with what I went thru with Aubs, but it all worked out

I had a c-section with Oliver and my Dr said it is up to me this time if i want a VBAC i can have one. I am hopefully going to deliver this one naturally. From what i understand it depends on the reason you had a c-section in the first place and how many c-sections etc Oliver was breech at 36 weeks and they don't deliver breech babies naturally here hence my c-section so my dr said i am the ideal candidate for VBAC as my c-section was not for medical reasons. Hope that all makes sense. x

I had section with no.1, natural birth with epidural with no. 2, natural birth with no epidural for no. 3! I thought I'd have a section with no. 2 but doc suggested I try myself first and if it didn't work I'd have a section but it worked and I was so delighted to have a VBAC. You recover much quicker etc.
As iwantone said, it depends on why u had section, I had one because baby was breech. I'd say go natural if you can at all. Good luck! D x
