Default Hair removal...

I'm 26 weeks pregnant and I can no longer bend over to shave my legs or even see my bikini area let alone attend to it However both are in desperate need of attention iykwim. Can I use veet while pregnant? I've never been brave enough to be waxed so I don't think I'll start while pregnant.

What are all you pregnant ladies doing?

i got waxed at a beauticians but have been doing so for years anyway. Couldn't see the results at the time though! Some beauticians do threading or sugaring too, which are good methods. My beautician uses sugaring now instead of wax, much less painful.

Or buy an epilator and get your OH to help!

i used to get OH to shave my legs

it's not recommended to use depilitory creams during pregnancy as it is unknown if the chemicals in them seep into the blood stream somehow, BUT saying that i used them with no problems

I got OH to help shave my legs too.

Had a bikini line wax just before having Sophie and it was bloody painful, but wanted to be tidy before I gave birth

I ge waxed - but maybe not the best thing to start doing while pregnant if you have never had it done before - though it may help to prepare you for oncoming pain - if you can have a bikini wax then a baby will be easy! LOL xxx

Personally i wouldnt use Veet when pregnant: stinks at teh best of times and is v chemically: if you arent meant to use hair dye cos of risk of chemicals going into ur system then theres no way I'd consider Veet!

I shave my legs while in the bath so I can put my heel up on the side. It does get a bit more awkward closer to the end of pregnancy but I've managed it.

I automatically used a veet cream before going on holiday while i was pregnant with Sam , I've just checked their website and they say its ok to use FAQs about VeetŪ waxing and hair removal products. (note to self: if ever pregnant again must think more!!) x

Thanks for the replies. I am very impressed at so many of you being brave enough to be waxed! I'm too scared that they'll tear the skin when waxing, I've heard too many horror stories to ever brave it but I feel like I'm living in the dark ages relying on a razor lol I'm also too shy to show my bits to anyone

I managed to sort of shave my legs last night because I was wanting some, em, attention from my OH iyswim

babe unless you want a brazillian type wax you don't have to get your bits out for just a normal bikini wax

pm me where you live and if you're local to me i'll come and wax you if you want (i'm a beauty therapist) xx
