Default I have gestational diabetes;-(

Hi all
Was diagnosed yesterday at 37 weeks with GD, so i have to go this afternoon to get my insulin sorted - my test at 28 weeks was fine but last week i tested high for glucose in my urine and was sent home with a testing kit this showed normal levels apart from after lunch which was high so now i have to have insulin at that time , on Monday they are going to decide if i should be induced early - am now panicing - was hoping to relax a bit during last few weeks but now worrying about this! help!! am just worried it will affect bubba x

My best mate had it with both pregnancys and all was well, the positive thing is they know about it and can control it which minimises any complicationsxx

Hugs, try not to worry (too much..)

let us know how things goxx

I have no idea about GD but just wanted to offer (((big hugs)))

I know its not the same but I had high blood pressure all through my pregnancy and ended up being induced 4 weeks early because I had pre-eclamsia. It was a little scary at the time (mainly because I still had so much stuff to buy) but the midwives were all fantastic and so supportive. If you are induced, its not the end of the world, at least you get to see your new baby sooner and wont have to spend the last 3 weeks worrying about GD.
