Default Christmas food treats

Hi ladies, just wondering what xmas treats you will be having this year?

I always have a seafood cocktail with smoked salmon on xmas day and was upset at the idea that I wouldn't be having it this year as I thought I wasnt allowed.

Anyhow, just read in practical parenting magazine that smoked salmon is ok, as long as fresh, date stamped etc....woo hoo! I'm still not too sure about the prawns though, everywhere says ok as long as cooked thoroughly and served hot but very little info about cooked chilled prawns, anyone know??

What treats will you pregnant ladies be treating yourself to?

Oooh I've always loved those little cocktail sausages at Christmas but you can't get them here, all the sausages are spicy bratwurst/hotdog type But I'm looking forward to my parents & bro & sis being here & my Dad making his yummy stuffing!

Sorry I've no idea about cooked chilled prawns. Would you be cooking and chilling them yourself? If so you would be sure they were thoroughly cooked first and you could do them the night before to make sure they were completely fresh?

Mmmm I love prawns and smoked salmon! I read that prawns are ok as long as you have washed them yourself, because they actually cause no threat to an unborn baby this way. They only pose a slight risk if they are unwashed and you were to become poorly as a result xx
