It sounds pretty normal to me. Is it not to do with your hips/pelvis actually repositioning itself in readiness for birth? I would mention anyways. A nice warm (not hot) bath and a couple of paracetamol should help. xxxx |

My hips used to give me real pain at night with both pregnancies. I used to mention it to the mw who just used to tell me all the usual about sleeping with pillows between knees etc.
It was only ever at night while I was lying down though, was a real pain but everything went back to normal after the births. Hope you get some support and answers from your GP/mw. xxx |

Big husg hun, its not nice
![]() I suffered badly with painful hips/groin/back with both pregnancies and the only way i could get even remotly comfy was to use one of those long body length pillows, so you can wrap your legs over it IYKWIM. Even now i cant sleep without one as my back and hips ache so much. Might be worth looking for one. Lidls often sell them for a rather nifty £10 (they sell for about £40 in mothercare, and every so often i buy a new one as it gets lumpy after a year or so! Hope that helps xxxx |

Was going to pop and see my GP about it today......but did the night shift last night at work and am physically and mentally drained........sent Meg to my gran's for a few hours so I could get some sleep, but I only managed to get all of 30 mins sleep (been awake since 7.30am yesterday). So, now going to have to try and get an appointment within the next couple of days and see if I can have something to help as work isn't helping with being on my feet all day........by the time my shift ends my hips are aching so much it takes me a long time to be able to get comfy. Am so drained today as well, feeling really down and had to have a good cry earlier (not that it made me feel any better), been a while since I've just started crying for no reason..........and the thing is once I start crying I can't stop - is it worth mentioning to GP?????? Don't want the depression rearing it's ugly head again after I did so well so overcome such a hard time from it all last year. Am hoping it's just all the hormones making me feeling rubbish and nothing else.

Don't mention it to your GP yet hon - there's a strong chance it's the hormones, the exhaustion and the fact that you're suffering pain as well. That's get anyone snufflin and snifflin. I'd be feelin sorry for masself too (((hugs))) xxx

Am just wondering whether I should mention it to my midwife or not
