Fat chance I'm in labour: membrane sweep was rather uncomfortable but consultant deemed "cervix favourable" but told me to make appointment for next Wed just in case (aaarrrrrghhhh...not another week) but he did say he didnt expect to see me at the clinic then: reckoned he'd see me in hospital before!

Just got one sided abdo pain at mo which feels like period pain: of the joys of being female!

Will let you all know! Thanks everyone for thinking of me!

I'm currently reading a book (Ina May gaskin, renownd midwife in USA) who goes on and on about nipple stimulation as it produces the labour hormones. she said she had a client in hospital that was 'threatened' with induction if things didnt start soon so she advised nipple stimulation +++.
She came back into the room with a Ob's doc to find the ladies OH and best friend latch onto either side of her sucking away I couldnt stop laughing when i read it, totally
Anyway it worked as she was full dialted and delivered within no time. You might get your OH on board but do you have a friend that would step up and help?

OMG PMSL I remember when preg with Leah watching a birthing channel and the midwife was advocating this with the couple she was looking after and encouraging him to stimulate her nipples!

LOL thought dont think she would have meant a best friend as well!!!!
