Default all doctors and nurses out there..antibiotics

Hi,
Quick question about antibiotics whilst pregnant. I am 10 weeks gone and have a stinking cold and have had yellow snot for about 5 days now and it is showing no signs of saying goodbye. I suffer from sinus problems anyway but it's still not nice. I had a nasty cough too which has all but gone, however when I do cough it's very chesty and the doc said I have borderline bronchitis.
I told him I was pregnant and how far gone and said I would prefer not to take anything but obviously wouldn't like to get pneumonia either! So he promptly prescribed me 4 things, 1 of which was antibiotics and the other a nasal spray that you have to make up and keep in the fridge, another was something to clear the mucus in my chest and the other i've got no idea!
I am going to go to a different doctor later anyway as I am spotting a bit too but just wondered what peoples opinions were on drugs in the first trimestre.
thanks
AMY x

Yup, will do, was just wanted to know whether you thought it was normal as they can either be very tightfisted or the total opposite when it comes to antibiotics here and didn't want to get a "here, you're pregnant, take this heroin there's no problem" doctor!!
I shall do my best to get better soon thanks! Before this I had suspected swine flu so I'll be very glad when I feel better!

is there a name on the box/bottle of the meds?

Personally, if you need medicine whilst pregnant, you need it...just need to do what you did and say to the dr.

If you can work out the names, I can check out the meds for you. Doesnt matter if the spelling is in Spanish as I have foreign references to meds.

Thanks,
went to different doc in emergencies and they said i had nothing resembling bronchitis and didn't need to take anything...as it turns out that was the least of my worries as they did an ultrasound and things had stopped several weeks ago..
