Do you have many friends who culd help out and cook some stuff for the freezer? I'm also feeling sick but no where near how you are feeling. I find dry biscuits are good, but the best thing has been going for a swim, or at least having some exercise. It takes your mind off how you are physically feeling plus you get some "happy hormones". Think simple meals, minimal effort?

Probably does help but I know even if I got in the bath at home in first trimester, I felt sick with the water motion! (And still being sick now but at least I can do the bath thing now ok!) |

I never fancied eating them but it was suggested so I tried it and for me it helped - digestive biscuits. Worth a go! I struggled to drink water too, but found weirdly that diet coke went down a treat as did blackcurrant squash. Hope you feel better soon xx

I was the other way around - I had to have a slice of toast with marmite before I left the house, otherwise I felt ill all the way to work - was sick on the platform at Clapham Junciton once as had planned to eat when I got to work - only just made it off a train - I was so gross!

Hi, sorry for my previous posts, probably sound over exageration. I probably did feel bad. but some of it was probably down to not knowing if I was pregnant.
felt much better a couple of weeks ago for going for a scan at 12.5 weeks. after previous having a miscarriage, that was the worst bit. even when i went for a scan i kept having lower pain, but mustve been nerves. and now im 15 weeks on monday. scarey. have horrble heartburn. |

at 8 weeks, in hospial for treatment of dehydration, I was told I had hyperemesis - one thing you really hope you don't hear the doctors say. I was on anti sickness tablets for seven months and even then was still being sick, I lost lots of weight but it made me even more determined to get through this with my baby at the end of it. despite everything, I had no other problems with pregnancy andnow have a very healthy son who's worth all the suffering. Take all the help you can and if your other half has to do the housework and cooking well tough, your body is going through a lot. my husband was told that it "isnt that bad and dont believe her when she says she feels ill". they stopped saying that after I went to hospital.
