Midwife Appointment Today

So...I had my 2nd midwife appointment today and she didn't even ask how I've been

She was running half an hour late and was rushing big time. She just went through all my test results and told me that the new NHS NICE guidelines advise that she doesn't have to listen for a heart beat this early but if I reeaaallly wanted it doing she would do it. I said that I found listening to the heart beat for the first time more special than the first scan with Livy so she agreed to do it YAY!

It was soo special! I heard some little kicks and then the choo choo train heart beat...Arrr I love it!

My midwife said that because I've had one healthy baby she now doesn't need to see me until 28 weeks

OMG thats sooo far away (I'm 15wk now)!!!! Has anyone had such a big gap in between midwife sessions?

Ah that's lovely Lucy, I loved hearing Dion's heartbeat.

That seems an awfully long wait to see her next though, fingers crossed you don't have any worries or concerns xxxxx

That does seem a relly long time...

if i remember i went at about 12 weeks then wasnt till about 20 weeks i think they were further apart than with my first! But 28 weeks is def to far!

oh i can't believe they don't have to listen to heart beat that the best bit about going

i've only seen my midwife 8 time and the next time i have to see her i will be over due

I can't remember but just asked OH and he thinks mine were that far apart, i remember i hardly saw my midwife

forgot to say i first see her at 7 week then did not see her again till 25 weeks!

didnt see mw very often, cant remember exactly but could ring her if i needed tox

oh i loved hearing the heartbeat at my appointments, so special!

Cant believe they said they dont have to listemn to it now! Crazy!

I didnt get many appointments with the MW 2nd time around........only when my depression got bad!
