Funny you should mention this....

I think my sister had it made into pills or something to counter postpartum depression....
Yes-I had an issue with it as well. I never actually heard it from her, but once when I googles her name, she was interviewed in an article about it....I guess she knew I would have a hard time with it.

It wouldn't bother me if it was made into pill form. In fact one of hubby's clients wives got her placenta encapsulated. I would do it but no way would I eat the placenta - don't care what it does for me or the baby it's gross. x

After having Oliver the midwife held up my placenta to show me - yuck - no way would I eat that!!!!

Actually come to think of it that story could have been about 'L' (hubby's client's wife) she gave me a pep talk when I was about 30 wks pregnant on how I was to tell everyone in the delivery room I wanted the lights switched off ready for Oliver to be born as it's too harsh on them etc etc yep - she is bonkers and takes things to the extreme! x

No thanks,i'll pass on that,although i remember watching some maternity prog on Sky when i was preg & some woman took hers home & made a pate out of it & her doula came round & they were all standing in the kitchen eating pate on toast
