With Matthew I remember it took ages to bf him, I'd be sitting for hours on end just feeding him, and I was worried that this time round I'd end up sitting for an hour feeding Hannah and not be able to spend time with Matthew. But its totally different, she is a different baby altogether. She feeds for about 7 minutes each side, and is then quite happy to be put in her bouncy chair and sleep or be held on my knee while I sit on the floor with Matthew and thats it for another 3 hours.
So I'd say give it a go, it could be a completely different experience but if it doesn't work out, at least you know you tried again. And there is nothing wrong with using formula if bf'ing doesn't work out. I used formula at times with Matthew as I never managed to express enough if I wanted to leave a bottle for him; for me it was easier to leave formula than spend hours pumping to end up with only half a bottle.
Just keep an open mind and see how it goes and how you feel when baby arrives. When you hear all these stories of how horrible people can be to their children, as long as you love and care for them THAT is what will make you the best mummy, not how you feed them.
