Scared Pregnant again, baby 4 months, breastfeeding

Hi, I am new on the forum and am from South Africa, I love this website!!!

I have a question. I have a baby boy who is 4 months old now and we are thinking that I am pregnant again. I am struggling with my milk production as I am breastfeeding my boy and would like to continue for a while still. Has anyone experienced this and how do you keep your milk up? I was on the anti-depressent Eglynol but have weaned myself to one every 2 days. Help! I am not sure what to do!! I am seeing my gynea next week Wednesday.

I see many views but no replies! Has anyone experienced pregnancy right after you had a baby? How was it, how did you cope?

Hello and welcome to the site!

I know there have been a few ladies on here who have been pregnant within the 1st year of having a baby, I'm sure they'll pick up the thread when they're online. As for the breastfeeding, there are a good few of ladies on here who have a good knowledge and should be able to advise you.

Sorry I'm not much use but just wanted to let you know that you're not alone and welcome again to AK!

Hi welcome to the site, it is a great place for all stuff baby and feeding. Don't know too much about breast feeding but do know that you can still breastfeed one baby whilst pregnant. As far as I know to increase your milk supply you need to feed more (the more your lo feeds the more milk you have) . There will def be someone else with more advice for you, just didn't not want to reply.

Hi and welcome!

Why do you feel like you're not producing enough milk hon? Is your lo 100% bf still? Does he ever have any formula or solids?

I haven't bf when pregnant but I fed my little girl till she was one and there was a definite couple of periods where I felt like I was constantly having to feed her and worried that I must not be producing enough as she wanted to feed all the time. That did pass and looking back I would put that down to a growth spurt.

((hugs))

being preggers shouldnt affect your milk supply, to keep your milk up drinks lots of water, eat well and let baby fed!!

good luck, and welcomexx

also just remembered reading once that pregnacny chances the taste of your milk, its natures way of trying to wean the baby off in preperation to the new arrival
