I was worried about the same thing this time round, even though I'd experienced it first time round!!

My waters broke - but with a trickle, not the gush or pop like others - and the contractions started about half an hour later; becoming gradually more painful and regular. Although not that gradual; waters broke at 12.30am and Oliver arrived at 5.15am!!!!

You will know!!

i had 2 natural labours but i still cant tell you!!!
I had 2 very strange labours, no pains int he tummy or back, just the very painful feeling of my cervix dilating, i couldn't sit down etc.
Cant think of any ther signs, apart from with george my water broke, up til then the midwives didn't realise i was in labour as i wasn't having contractions (although i must have as i was fully dilated)

with Jess I woke up at 4 in the morning on the thursday with pains like period pains and then went to the toilet and had a show, the pains progressed slowly throughout the day and by half four that day we went to the hospital and was only 1cm dilated, gutted!!! pains got worse and by ten that night was given pethadine to try and get some sleep everything kicked off then was examined again and was 3cm so had epidural, examined again at 4 and was 8cm so starting push at 9 in the morning and Jess was born by ventouse at 11.20am on friday the 13th!!!! so in total I was in labour for nearly 20 hours, my waters never broke the midwife did that, hope next time is quicker!!!!

Good luck bubba xxxx
