Baking for parties - storage time question

Hi ladies
It is Tilly's birthday party on Sunday afternoon and I am planning on making and baking the following myself:

Chocolate birthday cake
Cupcakes
Jam tarts
cheese stars

I was going to do them on Saturday, but we have now been invited to OH's aunt and uncle's 30th wedding anniversary BBQ. It is local but is from 3pm onwards.

I wanted to ask if it is alright to bake it all on Friday and to store it all in airtight containers until Sunday - essentially two days.

I won't put the topping on the cake or cupcakes until the Sunday morning.

Do you think that would be ok or will it ruin?

i would say jam tarts deffo ok.

birthday cake prob ok too, do you have a recipe, i always do nigella's old fashioned choclate cake and it is so moist it is lovely for days afterwards.

the only things i would say poss do on the sat if you could find time would be the cupcakes...could you do them sat morning. just find cupcakes always nicest freshly made IYKWIM.

If you can find a choc cake recipe that uses oil instead of butter it will stay moist much longer, like the one lottiesmummy did for us, that was oil and it was very moist!! So then I think it would be fine xx

I would do cupcakes day before or on the day. Otherwise bake in week, freeze and take out in morning and ice.
Jam tarts on the Friday. Cheese thingys on sat. Birthday cake defo day before x
