I did say then about maybe selling some cakes at carboots and fetes and things. I cant really do novelty cakes like you do all that well but my cupcakes arent too bad really!

I've just put my form in for doing things officially

bit scared of what they will say as my house is what you might call a 'family home' but having seen how some cafes operate (ie small cluttered kitchens etc) I think they will be more interested in seeing you follow good practice, and I am meticulous about handwashing, my fridge arrangement (!), cleanliness and clearance of surfaces etc etc. Fingers crossed it isn't too harrowing...
You have to be registered to do any kind of food making which involves consumption by the public, which I take to mean, people you don't know. It just protects you if there is a problem. Clearly, loads of people aren't registered ie school fetes etc etc so they can't expect to be too strict.
