Claire, don't take him back. Also, write a letter to the manager and CC it to Inspectorate of kinds (I'm assuming you'll know who to write to).

Seriously, where's your old nursery - can't you send him there??

Claire the nursery finley goes to is about 15-20 mins away from were we live and when we move will be about 20-30 mins away depending in traffic, at the end of the day i don't care how far away it is if it is good

like LB said can't he go to one you used to work at at least you will know some of the staff, i ended up sending finley to one i use to work at.

Sounds to me like you know you want to take him out and find a new place.

I have no experience of nurseries whatsoever so not much help sorry!

I think I do yes but I also know that because I used to manage them maybe I'm being a little more picky than a normal mum IYKWIM but then like I just said to hubby, why shouldn't I want the best for my son? That's not too much to ask I don't think and would be what any mum wants, not just me?? I want to know that they will look after him and give him a cuddle if he needs one and fuss over him a bit, the one thing I can say for ALL the staff I've managed over the years, is that they ALL loved the children in their care and fussed over all of them and it was lovely and should be what it's like, making the children feel like they're special especially being away from their comfort zone

Wow that's bad, completely understand why you wouldn't want to take him back there. I def wouldn't, seems far too many children too! Would there be another one nearby with fewer children? Logan starts on Thur afternoon so really nervous about that. But if it was like the one you took Finlay to I really wouldn't take him back there. Not even to wipe his nose, poor boy that's terrible xo

He needs to feel safe and secure there, and if the staff are constantly changing and there are too many children to staff ratio then that isn't going to happen. If you don't think it's right for him then it isn't!!! You know more about nurseries than most so you've probably got more of a critical view but from what you have described its sounds like unorganised chaos. Look for somewhere else and in the mean time are there any playgroups you could go to so he is getting the company of other LO's?

Yeah was saying to LB about it earlier that we used to go to a lot of groups, we did baby signing, music groups and toddlers but he was becoming so naughty that we stopped going, Maybe I should start again

Right, pretty much all of you have said not to take him back and told my Mum today and she actually started to cry said she can't bare the thought of her boy being upset like that (her boy??!! ) so have decided I won't take him back, his next settle in was to be tomorrow afternoon. Do you think I should phone to say I'm not bringing him in cos he's not well or something and then write a letter or should I phone and say I'm not taking him back full stop and explain on the phone? Here we go again..........

(Have booked an apt to see one more, if this isn't right, I'm giving up)

Don't turn up, don't contact except with letter and make sure the letter is sent to some high up person too. And I don't mean someone on a high chair, ya sarky moo.
