i think half the country are in the same boat, in face theres a programme on tonight about working mums & childcare costs etc.
I also had to return to work when Freddie was 9 months old, we simply needed the money to pay bills, mortgage etc etc. i hated having to send him & it broke my heart everytime i had to drop him off crying. the nursery charged £44 a day & even charged for bank holidays even though they would be closed - a total rip off. they also made you pay when you child was sick - (which was every week having caught something from the other kids) in all in it was a nightmare. so when redundancy was offered at my job i took it & left to be a stay at home mum. we sold our house & moved to somewhere cheaper (another area) so we could afford to live on just hubbys wages. It was hard being a sahm, but better than sending him to nursery. He's now at school fulltime , so i'm back out to work (self employed). i feel for you i really do, but needs must & you'll be a stronger woman because of it. good luck & best wishes. xx
