So sick of this!

Well I am up from bed again. Can't sleep for the pain I'm in with my tummy. As some of you know, I've been having probs with my tummy, both lower and upper abdo. Well I went back to the doctor just before Xmas and he swore to me that he would sort things out, would get a referral to see a new specialist for my endo and then wanted to arrange a test for the pain in my upper abdo. Well we are now a few days into February already and surprise surprise I've heard nothing

I am just in agony tonight, I don't know what to do with myself. I get it on and off throughout the day but it gets 100 times worse after I eat and I have been in excrutiating pain since dinner

Doesn't matter what I eat, how much or how little, it comes on with a vengeance. And tonight it's so bad I feel like I'm going to be really sick but nothings happening IYKWIM. I am so uncomfortable. There's nothing I can take and if I have anything more to drink or eat I think it will make me even worse. Am so desperate to go to sleep but can't, it hurts more and the sick feeling comes on more when I lay down.

I am just so sick of this. This has been going on for a year now and I've still not been looked at. I tell you what, they had seriously better hope that they don't find anything serious or they won't know what's hit them. Something is wrong, for def and I wish they'd pull their bloody fingers out and get me seen by someone FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel so ill I could cry. This really is just so unpleasant it's taking my breath away

Had to cancel my private insurance so can't afford it but even if I could go private, I've still got to get a referral from the flamin GP and it's them p1ssing about!!

You need to go down there and get stroppy... or go to A&E and keep going til someone takes you seriously..

Tried that before and they sent me home and told me to go through my GP and demand they sort it out, which i did, and they didnt!!

It's really starting to get to me now. I think putting up with the pain for a year and hardly ever going there to complain shows I'm not neurotic FFS, just get me seen!! Why do they do this to people?

If you are waiting to be checked over by the NHS pls stop waiting and hurry up and get to a private doctor, there must be someone that can help you..surely u shouldnt be suffering like this..

I'm no doctor but how about heating up some olive oil and gently rubbing it on your tummy, warming your tummy up a little while rubbing it might just take the edge of the pain slightly..

You upper abdo pain sounds similar to something I had. I used to get terrible pain under my boobs around my rib cage which was triggered by eating. I'd be in terrible pain and be violently sick. They suggested was indigestion

. In the end I had to push for tests and they thought I might have an ulcer so I had to have an endoscopy & biopsy. It turned out to not be an ulcer. I had Heliobacter Pylori also known as H.Pylori in my gut. It needed treating with something called triple therapy which is a 1 week course of 2 lots of antibiotics and an acid reducing drug. I then had to take a drug called Losec for a while after.

I always found my symptoms were worse when I was due a period and when I was taking medication to help my periods (mefenamic acid). I then found out that the mefenamic acid, which is a NSAID drug like aspirin or ibuprofen, could be partly causing the problem as it can lead to peptic ulcers.

Not sure if you think any of this relates but I hope you get some help with both soon Claire.

It's my upper abdo hun, just below my bobs and above my tummy IYKWIM. I can't even touch there is so painful and makes me feel even more like I'm going to be sick

Ellie, really, you should consider a change in vocation. Seriously! You just absorb this stuff and remember it, and regurgitate it word for word, years later... YOU should be the GP! Oh Thoughtful and Intelligent one *bows*
