Awww hun, it was scary but she is much better now, and thank you for letting me know you are here if i need you, sorry i haven't sent you a text back, i think get january out the way and then will shall meet up for a cuppa and i'm still dying to have a snuggle and give you your present for sophie xxxxx

Lots and lots of hugs. Speaking as a nurse and as a mother who had a child with a febrile convulsion at age 1 1/2, it is one fo the scariest things for a parent to watch their kid go through.

I was also sure that my son was a goner when he had his. And he had a really long one too-about 7 minutes or so. Really scary! But 99% of the time-self limiting, and no harm done.

and btw-crying is good for you. It releases stress hormone and helps you cope. You have been through so much this past week-you need to let it out.

OMG Chantal that sounds totally terrifying and I am on the brink of tears after all you've been through the last few weeks.
