Red face Flapjack help

Ok once again I have messed up a recipe! This is the second time I've made flapjacks and once again I have ended up with a big tray of crumbs! How on earth do I get them to stick together? This time I made the layer thinner and pushed them down even harder into the tray xo

I used

225g butter
75g sugar
2 tbsp honey
350g porridge oats

then added a bit of cinamon and some chopped up dried apricots. They do taste really yummy though but just annoying that its crumbs!

Hmm, not sure then, maybe cook at a lower temperature for longer? I put mine in the fridge once they've cooled and that seems to set them.

Oh do you put them in the fridge before you take them out of the baking tray? Maybe I should be doing that? Thank you I'll try that next time. I cooked them at 180C for around 20mins? Oh well this batch are too yummy to throw out so I'll maybe eat in a bowl with some yoghurt! xo

I use butter and golden syrup, with no sugar. When i make them, they're always hit and miss with sticking together

Maybe try pouring some melted choc on them when they're cooled then put in the fridge to set- the choc will hold it all together

The only success I've had was when I added 1/2 tin of condensed milk was delicious xxx
