Default Only drinking 1 bottle per day!!!

Hi,

My LO has been drinking less and less milk at bedtime for a while until tonight when she refused to drink any at all!!! She has gone to bed fine but I am really worried that she should still be drinking more milk. She only drinks around 6oz in the morning too but does have milky puds, yoghurts and cheese etc throughout the day, although I'm certain this still doesn't add up to 20oz in total.

Has anyone else gone through this? I've tried using different cups, cups with straws etc but nothing helps. Any ideas? If I can't get her to drink any do you think it'll do her any harm?

I feel like such a neurotic mother at the moment, I'm worrying about so much with her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hiya, how is her other fluid intake? My LO sometimes has less milk at bedtime if she has had a big drink just before or around her tea!?!??! How much milk are they meant to have when they reach a year BTW? I seem to remember having read a pint and 350ml as well, so not sure. I think that she is somewhere between the two.

I posted something a while back about my LO not wanting her milk anymore and I too was getting worried that she wasn't getting what she was supposed to be having. Someone on here said 17oz a day, but as long as they get it from other dairy foods and you make milky puds etc it will be ok. And 17oz is for under 12months so really your LO hasn't got long left and I would just go with the flow, I think sometimes our LO actually tell us what they need and don't need, she must be getting everything she needs from other foods. Try not to worry my LO is coming up to 9 months and I'm just making sure she gets alot of diary foods, I add cheese in foods, give yogurts and use her milk that she doesn't drink for breakfast or even a weekabix for supper. xx

my LO is exactly the same. she has 7oz in the morning & refuses he milk in the night. i spoke to my health visitor and she said they are supposed to have 20oz a day but as long as they are having yoghurts & you put butter/ cheese/ milk in some of their food then they should be having enough calcium. also i manage to sneak about 1oz of milk with her rusks for her supper, maybe you could try that x
