Hi all,
I thought I would start a thread that hopefully can keep rolling for some time if everyone can spend a minute to write each day. There is always (and always has been) so many threads started about what to give our LO's for breakfast etc and people always needing ideas when they hit a brick wall with everything, so I thought it might be a really good idea to write down what our LO's have eaten that day for breakfast, lunch and dinner and we could also include snacks and drinks, so that there is a rolling reference for people to look at and take what they like from it. And then if anything in particular comes up that someone is really interested in knowing how to make, we could post about it or PM the person to ask how to make it. I know I would really benefit from this if we did it, just some days I really have no idea what to give Finlay and others I'm bursting with inspiration! What do you think, let's maybe give it a go?? It may also be reassuring to Mummy's who have fussy eaters or poorly babies to see if someone else's baby doesn't particularly eat a lot during the day, they know it's not just them and maybe not to worry and likewise if they think something they're giving them is maybe seen as a bit naughty but then realise that we probably all do it and again not to worry about it, i.e. giving baked beans. Today Finlay has eaten: Breakfast: 9oz Cows Milk, Dry cheerios and shreddies (doesn't like milk on them!) AM Snack: Didn't want Lunch: Started by offering Avocado & Cream cheese Sandwich but didn't want, so he had bread with hummus dip, ate some but went off that too, had some Organix cheese & herb crisps and a banana, plus 1 whole beaker of water!! PM Snack: 2 Rich Tea fingers + 1 box raisins + 1 beaker water Dinner: Chicken and apple balls with peas and sweetcorn plus half a pear He also had 2 rich tea biscuits before bed tut tut!! Bedtime: 9oz Cows milk |

Ben had toast with butter and honey with smoothie for breakfast, then banana as a snack, he had pasta with hidden veg sauce for lunch with a fruit bar and a yoghurt, then he had a pear in the afternoon, for dinner it was steak, mushroom and leek pie with roast parsnips and leeks and peas, he ate quite well today but did need some persuading at times, he won't drink milk atm only water or smoothies.
Bella had live greek yoghurt (as she's on antibiotics again and I read somewhere that they can kill all the good bacteria in your stomach leaving you susceptible to cdif or mrsa and we spend lots of time in and out of hospital) then some baby cereal for breakfast, followed by 200mls paediasure plus (vanilla). Then she had tuna in cheese sauce with veg for lunch followed by some custard then 175 mls paediasure plus (strawberry). For dinner she had pork, apple and parsnip followed by a rolo yoghurt, and she has just drunk 200 mls paediasure plus (banana). |

Excellent, I'm so glad some of you have written down already. It's great to see what everyone elses LO's are eating. Maybe for those who don't have tickers though could maybe say how old their LO is just to help out people who might want to know xx
