Don't drop any bottles. You give solids as well as milk not instead of. You just introduce solids at the appropriate meal times to suit you and your LO based around their current feeding schedule. For example my younger son is breast fed with feeds around three hours apart. We have just started weaning and have introduced his first meal at around 12:30, or about half an hour after his lunch time feed. We will introduce breakfast next and that is likely to be around 9:30 around half an hour after his morning feed. Then it will be tea at whatever time suits us. We aren't cutting out any of the milk feeds, just introducing solids as well.
Milk remain your LOs most important source of nutrition for the first year so the only time you will drop a bottle is when your LO no longer shows any interest in that particular feed. Follow their lead when it comes to cutting out the bottles.
