Crying Fussy Eater

Oh HELP! I am at a complete loss, my 7 year old son is one of the fussiest eaters I know. When he was a baby I made everything by the book, Annabel Karmel, breast fed you name it. He developed diebeties aged 2 and that's when the problems started and are now worse than ever. It really started as a quick meal here and there - dippers, fish fingers etc. The problem is its basically all he ever eats. He has packed lunch for school and its either a plain roll, no butter. Choc spread roll, crisps, grapes and a sml sweet. Tea, dippers, waffles/smiles/chips. - no veg. The only home cooked meal he will eat is spagetti bol. My other younger son loves home made cooking and will eat and try anything. I do have issues as I need him to eat so he can have his injection but I am sick of the fact it is just rubbish he eats. Any advice would be amazing. Very very stressed out mum.

Hi , haven't really got any suggestions, but just wanted to say you're not alone. My sister has a ten year old who only eats, sausages, & ham on pasta & plain (nothing in them) torilla wraps , thats it!

and i know of other boys who only eat Jam sandwiches & petit filous.

i realise its much more difficult for you as your son has disabetes, so its essential he eats before the insulin etc.

all i can say is , you can only do your best, keep occassionally trying new things perhaps home made pizza (get him to help) (you never now he might try something & like it!) & try not to stress, he won't starve & i'm sure when hes all grown up he'll be raiding the fridge for all sorts of food. & be eating you out of house & home.
