Default baby weight gain

Hi all just wanted to ask for other mums opinions.

I have 4 kids. first two were rather hungry babies and piled on the wight till they looked like wee buddas. my third baby didnt gain weight as fast as the first two and my health visitor freaked me out sooo mush that i ended up having to put her on a bottle at 6 months. i was gutted, but even more so when her weight gain didnt improve after that either. She seemed healthy enough and was doing everything she should be for her age, was happy and never lost weight. But like i said my HV told me to put her on bottles and started ranting about serious illnesses and really scared me

so now im on number 4. he hasnt really got a big appetite either and his weight gain is ok atm but still hasnt put on the weight my first two had either. I asked for a different HV this time too and told her about the last one and her scare mongering, and shes been really supportive but i was just wondering how others coped with slightly less weight gaining babies. did you continue to BF or switch to bottles? and when do i need to worry that sort of thing.

thanks x

My son is and always has been slight and small for his age but it's never been a worry to me. He's always been within the normal range curves, albeit at the edges but my paediatrician has always been really happy with him and reckons he's perfectly healthy and happy. He was bf till he was 1 when he decided he didn't want any more, I started weaning around 6 months. He's always been perfectly healthy and happy so I never had a single worry about him.

My youngest was always small, she survived on breast milk alone until she was 13 months. Asking as they are happy/peeing/pooing I wouldn't worry. All kids are different and grow at different rates I didn't weigh her in the end as hv would just tut and worry me.
