Nothing like parsnip, at least not the ones I eat. Nowhere near as sweet. I would agree that it has a slight aniseed twang, or soemthing like that. I definitely recommend trying it and sure if you don't like it dump it. Nothing ventured nothing gained and all that. Although in my case it'd be more a case of nothing ventured nothing lost as I use it instead of spuds all the time since Jan - cut out the carbs and lost 17lbs

Do you treat it like spuds in terms of cooking and mashing with butter and milk or just milk if you're being good
might give it a go, have never had it and also want to cut down on carbs. Am sure it won't last though, am a carb fiend ![]() |
