Unhappy New! Help please!!

Hi, I started weaning my son (23 weeks) a couple of weeks ago on baby porridge after his first bottle. He took to it really well so now he is having some pureed veg for lunch and a bit of pureed fruit for dessert. I have been waiting about an hour after his bottle to give him solids- is this right? He's not a big milk drinker so wouldn't want to give half bottle then solids as I don't think he'd take the rest of bottle again. It feels as if I'm feeding him constantly!! Any suggestions or is this the right way? This is stressing me out! People are all telling me different things- give half bottle- solids- half bottle, solids before bottle, solids after bottle. I just don't know what to do!!!!!!
Thanks x
