Default HELP! Made a curry too sweet - how can I savoury it up a bit?

Hi all.
I'm making a fruity lamb curry which is supposed to be quite sweet as has prunes, apple, carrot and mango chutney in it, but I was a bit free and loose with my measuring and it has gotten a bit too sweet. Any suggestions on how I can savoury it up a bit?

Also, can you add more curry paste to it to make more spicy - or can it only be added at the beginning? What else could I add? I only have mild chili powder and mild curry powder so neither are really doing much. Again, any suggestions welcomed!

I'm batch cooking so some can go in the freezer for Tilly, but OH and I plan to eat some just for us tomorrow night.

You can add more curry paste at any time. If you are using curry powder you can add it straight into the curry, but for best results fry it off in a little oil first to release the flavours properly. I reckon making it spicier is probably the best way to make it more savoury.

You could add a savuory stock cube or maybe some herbs & some more curry paste.

thanks ladies - did both. Was still a bit too sweet but was definitely an improvement!
