I think if it contains less than 1g of salt it is ok. They shouldnt have more than 1g in a day including the natural salt that is in everything. I am assuming that it will be in a large dish and therefore it wouldnt be the whole stock cube in one meal.

Hope that helps.

hi

I used the Kelko very low salt cubes (veg, chicken and beef) for my son from 8 months onwards, I have noticed that Heinz have got some out now too in the baby food section of sainsburys but not tried them as the Kelko ones seem to have a lot of flavour. He was absolutely fine with them.

:-)

We used the Kallo ones from early on, although I generally used them more as a back up for when I didn't have any homemade to hand. They are ever so handy and we're still using them today along with the Boots baby stock cubes.

Funnily enough I've gotten so used to cooking without salt now and just seasoning for ourselves at the table that I think I'm just going to stick with it and not bother going back to the normal stock cubes as I'm sure we're probably better off for it.
