Default New to weaning

Hi all

I have just started to wean my 6 month old son. So far he has only had baby rice however I have made a large stock of now frozen fruit and veg. What is the best way to defrost these and heat them up?
If heating in microwave how long for?

Regards

If it's just fruit and veg then just take something out of the freezer the night before and let it defrost in the fridge overnight. If you want to warm it up before you use it then just sit you bowl of food in a bowl of boiling water for a few minutes till it's warm. Generally you'll just be aiming to only want to take the chill off the puree rather than have it too hot.

Once you get on to dishes containing meat or fish then you will need to reheat these till piping hot and let them cool down before you use them.
